Arts Educator · Yoga & Meditation Teacher · ActorMariel is an educator with a background in Meisner-based acting training, performance, and over fifteen years of yoga and meditation study and teaching. Her work is rooted in presence, emotional truth, and the development of authentic connection in performance.


Mariel trained in Musical Theatre at LASALLE College of the Arts and later completed the two-year Meisner conservatory at the William Esper Studio in New York.She has worked as an actor across theatre, film, and television in Southeast Asia and the United States, including performances with Wild Rice and SRT Young Company, television hosting on Kids Central, and work in Singapore Dreaming and other independent film projects. She also performed in the ensemble of the first all-Asian cast of an Off-Broadway musical in New York.She later returned to LASALLE as a Visiting Lecturer, teaching Meisner Technique, audition work, yoga, and meditation before directing The Evolution of Musical Theatre in 2019 and 2020.Her broader teaching background includes international yoga and meditation teaching, contributions to yoga teacher trainings in Thailand, and the development of mindfulness curriculum for youth. Her approach is also informed by long-term meditation practice, including Vipassana meditation.
